Description | Inquisition taken at Canterbury before W de Weston, the king's escheator in Kent, on 17 Feb 1326. The jurors say that it will not be to the loss or prejudice of the king or anyone else if he gives Walter Reynolds, archbishop of Canterbury, permission to grant his manor of Caldecot to the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. They say that the manor consists of a capital messuage, 28 acres of arable land, 160 acres of pasture, 2 acres of meadow, a wood called 'Toreholte', and the pleas and profits of courts, all valued as specified.
