Some details of effects of the import of foreign cloth on Romney Marsh, local markets and land prices and the local cloth industry. Also includes a comment on the quality and use of Romney Marsh wool. No date. [Date: an entry in the city's burghmote minute book for 26 Apr 1664 (CC/AC/5, p100) refers to the presentation of a petition by the Romney Marsh wool producers, relating to the transport of wool by licence. The city agreed to draft and present a similar petition and the dean and chapter contributed £20 towards the cost.] Endorsed with description in late 17th cent hand.
