Description | From: Constance daughter of Thomas the alderman To: Reginald son of Reginald de Cornhelle
[Document damaged. Part of property description and other details supplied from DCc-ChAnt/C/1196.] Her right in land with a stone house and other buildings on it in Canterbury which Thomas her father granted to Reginald's father Reginald, lying with the land of Hugh de [Nevile] to east in which the moneyers lived, the land of John son of [Lefwin] to west, the king's highway which goes from St Andrew's to St George's to south and the land of Ingulph the plumber ('Ingenulfus plumbarius') to north. For an annual payment of 27d, payable as specified to Constance and Beatrix and Matilda, her sisters. Constance also confirms the grant which Reginald [made] of the land to the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory for a light and other necessary uses for the altars of St Dunstan and St Alphege. Made and recorded at the borough moot of Canterbury. For this Reginald has also paid 2 marks as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: dates of John Turte and William Wyllard as bailiffs of Canterbury.]
