DescriptionFrom: Alexander, son of William de Ores; Peter, son of William de Ores

Alexander and Peter have made the following arrangement relating to their rents in Canterbury with the advice and consent of Alexander le Hosier of Sussex, guardian of the children of their brother Robert. The heirs' portion consists of 3s 2d, payable as specified by the treasury of Canterbury Cathedral Priory and the canons of St Gregory's [Priory, Canterbury]. Alexander and Peter's portion is 7s 7½d, payable as specified by the cathedral priory's treasurers, Christina de stabulo and the heirs of Henry the dealer in flasks ('ampollarius'). From their portion, Alexander and Peter pay 15d to the cathedral priory's treasurers and 1d as a quit-rent ('forsigabulum') to Thomas son of Luke of Hardres for all the tenements from which the rents are paid. When these have been substracted, 6s 3½d remains of their portion, 3s 1¾d each. This composition mentions all the rents which they bought of Thomas of Hardres in Canterbury, except 15d from the sacrist of St Augustine's [Abbey], Canterbury, and 6d from the heirs of Solomon the mercer ('mercerius'). Sealed with the seal of Alexander le Hosier as well as their seals.
