A plot of land in Canterbury lying in a place called 'Mereteghe' with the cathedral priory's land to east and south, the land of the heirs of Reginald Hwyrel to west and the king's highway to north. Also 2 acres of land which he purchased of John and Nicholas sons of Nicholas of Ridingate [in Canterbury] in St Sepulchre's parish, Canterbury, in a place called 'Market feld', lying with the cathedral priory's land to west, the land of Thomas Copedok to east, the land of the nuns of St Sepulchre's [Priory, Canterbury] to south and the king's highway to north. Also 3 acres of land which he purchased of Robert de Harnehelle of Ruckinge in Old Romney parish, lying with the cathedral priory's land to south, north and east and the king's highway to west. Also a messuage which he purchased of William de Stachisdenne in the vill ('villa') of Westerham, lying with the king's highway to north, the water running to the abbot and convent of Westminster [Abbey]'s mill of Westerham to south, between the land of William Horn and the garden of Simon Chesman to east and the abbey's land to west. Also a piece of meadow in the parish of Linton which he purchased of William Senyng', lying with the cathedral priory's land to east and west and the watercourse leading from 'Stegher'' to 'Hontyndone' to south and the land of William Senyng' to north. For a term of 60 years. Given at Canterbury.
