The parcel of land which she bought of Emma daughter of William of 'Dudelane' [in Canterbury] lying in the suburb of the city of Canterbury is St Paul's parish with the land which was of Roger coc to west, the lane of 'Dudelane' to east, Emma's land to north and the king's highway to south, 38 feet long, 26 feet wide at the north end ('caput') and 24 feet wide at the south end. For an annual payment of 1d to Emma, payable as specified. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Canterbury charters.]
