A third part of a barn, a garden and another garden lying outside the Northgate of the city of Canterbury in a place called 'Borisars' and a third part of 18 acres of land lying separately in the fields next to 'le Olde vine', which third share of the lands, barn and gardens fell to him in inheritance after the death of Edmund Stablegate, his father. For an annual payment of 6s 8d, payable as specified. Right of distraint in payment in arrears. John has paid 10 years' rent in advance. Given at Canterbury.
