These charters relate to the manor of Bocking, situated north of Braintree in Essex, and the priory's other Essex manors of Lawling, Bovington, Mersea, Middleton and Stisted. DCc-ChAnt/B/31 relates to Blean, DCc-ChAnt/B/209 relates to Underdown in Chartham, DCc-ChAnt/B/249 concerns property in Barksore manor and Lower Halstow and DCc-ChAnt/B/263 concerns Cliffe and Cooling manors, all in Kent. In addition to land in Bocking, DCc-ChAnt/B/242 also concerns property in Canterbury. The section in DCc/Register/B, ff116r-141r, contains 97 charters. The DCc/Register/E, ff379r-383v, section contains 31 charters. There are also charters relating to Bocking in DCc/Register/S, ff8v-10r and 16v-18v. These concern transactions between the priory and John son of William Doreward in 1393-4. DCc-ChAnt/Z/195 is a 15th cent lease of Bocking manor.

These documents relate to Brook manor, near Wye, in Kent. The manor had a number of denns attached to it, many some distance from Brook itself. These are listed in DCc/Register/C, f229v. In DCc/Register/C, ff228v-236r, there are 27 charters for the manor. DCc/Register/E, ff277v-279r, has 13 charters. The registers contain several charters for which no originals survive. DCc-ChAnt//B/289 relates to Eastry manor. DCc-ChAnt/B/273 may relate to Bocking rather than Brook.
CCA-DCc-ChAnt/B/292-317A
These documents relate to Bekesbourne manor in Kent, which the priory acquired in 1443. For details of the ownership of the manor, see Hasted vol ix, p269. There are no sections for Bekesbourne in the priory registers. In these documents, Bekesbourne is referred to by variants of 'Livingesbourne', by which name it was previously known. Many personal names in these documents include the place-name 'Bourne'. This may be Bekesbourne, but it could also be Bishopsbourne, Littlebourne, Patrixbourne etc DCc-ChAnt//B/292 relates to Hollingbourne.

These documents relate to lands in Blean and the woods of Blean, Kent. The cathedral priory did not hold the manor itself. In the early 13th century the manor was held by Hamo de Crevequer, alias of Blean, son of Etardus, whose name occurs frequently amongst these charters. He had died by 1223. (See Woodcock, cited in entry for DCc-ChAnt/B/333, no 80, p63. The information on the family given in Hasted viii, pp525-6 is unreliable.) In 1359 the manor was granted to Eastbridge Hospital, Canterbury. In DCc/Register/C, ff90r-93r, there are 25 charters for Blean. DCc/Register/E, ff225r-228v, has the same charters, plus 1 in addition. From the registers, the originals for numbers 2, 5, 8-12, 14-20, 22, 24 and 26 are not included in this section of the Chartae. The originals for numbers 2, 10, 14, 16, and 17 are in the British Library as Add Charters 16348-16352. The originals for numbers 5, 9, 11, and 12 are in Keele University Library with the Hatton Wood Manuscripts as K72/46/3 (11-13 and 21). The original for number 26, which relates to Thornden manor, in Dunkirk ville in the Blean, is DCc-ChAnt/T/8. There are also 3 charters for Blean in DCc/Register/H, ff32r-32v. The archive of the Eastbridge Hospital (CCA-U24) includes many charters relating to Blean in sections B and G. Bunce listed the charters in section B in his manuscript 'Register of charities', held in the Cathedral Archives, vol 1, pp346 et seq. See also pp512-13.

These documents relate to Barksore manor, in Lower Halstow parish, Kent. In these charters Halstow may refer to High Halstow as well as to Lower Halstow. In DCc/Register/D, ff421r-425r, there are 19 charters for the manor. DCc/Register/E, ff326r-328r, has 15 charters, with numbers 9 onwards relating to Leysdown. From the registers, the originals for numbers 1, 2, 7 and 9-15 are not included in the Barksore section of the Chartae.

These documents relate to various places beginning with B, including the parish of St Mary Bothaw, London. DCc-ChAnt/B/356 relates to Brenchley's chantry in Canterbury Cathedral. DCc-ChAnt/B/370-370A concerns a dispute between the priory and Bury St Edmunds Abbey over their respective rights in the manors of Monks Eleigh and Hadleigh [both in Suffolk]
