For the sake of God, Blessed Dunstan and their souls, granting Geoffrey de Conventrie, formerly their man ('homo') and tenant, and his homage and service and that of his heirs. Geoffrey and his heirs will hold from the cathedral priory the ploughland and messuages that used to be held from the donors in Braintree [Essex], for an annual payment of 30d, payable at 3 specified terms of the year, and for a man for a day in autumn for reaping in the fields of Bocking, with food provided by the cathedral priory. Geoffrey is freed from the service and fealty that he owed to the donors and has been handed over to Richard of Barksore, priory monk. Also granting to the cathedral priory 12d paid annually by Roger of Braintree and his heirs at the court of Bocking at 2 specified terms of the year for the alder-holt of Bradford. They have appointed Roger to pay this before the court baron and Richard [de Barksore], monk. No date. [Date: dates of Richard of Barksore, monk.]
