Richard has granted and farm let to Edmund for his lifetime 1 acre in 'Gorymede' meadow in Bocking. Lying between Edmund's meadow and the meadow of John de Wylby, and between the stream ('ripa') of Bocking and Edmund's meadow in 'Gorymede', which was once of John prowat. For an annual payment of 6s 8d. If this payment falls into arrears, Richard may distrain the acre and 3 acres of Edmund's meadow and withhold the sum of the arrears. If payment is in arrears for a month, Richard may distrain the acre and withhold it and any profits. After Edmund's death the acre will revert to Richard and his heirs. Given at Bocking [Essex].
