This is for acting as advocate in the case brought against the cathedral priory by Mgr Robert de Gernemue ('Gernemuta'), who calls himself archdeacon of Canterbury, before 'Dominus' Jordan, cardinal deacon of St Eustace's, concerning his claims to sede vacante jurisdiction. Dating confused. Dated 5 Mar 1279(/80?) but 2nd year of Pope Nicholas III. Archdeacon Robert is thought to have died by early 1280 (Le Neve Fasti). Given at Rome (Italy).
