Description | From: Richard capup, of Gore ('Gare') To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
For his land in Gore ('gare') [presumably in Eastry, possibly in Adisham] and 'selvestune' [probably Selson in Eastry] in the holding of Adisham ('Edesham'). Except for 4 acres 1 virgate which Nicholas, his son, holds, and for payments of 2d from Stephen of Gore ('Gara') for 1 virgate and of 6½d and 2 hens from Stephen de Ticheherst for ½ acre. Made in the 'capitalis curia' of the priory at Canterbury. For this the priory has paid 100s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting.]
