Description | Plaintiff: Cecilia, widow of Hugh of Bossington Deforciant: John Sittingbourne, I, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
In the king's court at Rochester before Thomas de mulet[on], William de Ral[eigh], William de Insula, itinerant justices, and others, on 10 Feb 1232. Richard of Bossington is Cecilia's attorney and Richard de Berksore is the prior's. Cecilia had claimed that a moiety of 8 acres of land in Adisham was her dower from the tenement which her husband held, but she now quitclaims for it. For this the prior has paid ½ mark.
