DescriptionPart of a roll. Depositions from witnesses concerning the rights of St Augustine's Abbey relating to their churches of Sturry, Chislet, Brookland ('broc'), Stodmarsh ('stodm's'), Milton Regis ('Middilt'n') and Faversham. Including rights to dues and to custody ('clavis et custodia') and fruits and oblations of the churches when vacant. Witnesses give names and details of successive rectors. Includes depositions relating to the dispute between the archdeacon of Canterbury and St Augustine's abbey over Milton Regis and Faversham. (Archdeacon is either given as 'arch'' or as 'archied's' altered from 'archiep's'.) Includes account of the ejection of the abbey from Faversham Church. No date. [Date: reference to death of Osbert de Camera, rector of Faversham and also prebendary of St Paul's London. Osbert died on 3 May 1201 (Fasti).
