Includes confirmation of an agreement made under Pope Lucius II between Theobald and the abbey concerning a due of 50s 7d. The cathedral priory will renounce this due in return for 2 mills in Dover and 20s from a prebend in St Martin's Dover. Also, the Church of Canterbury should hold 3 shillings-worth of land in compensation for a 3s due for bread, drink and rams. With rota, benevalete monogram and subscriptions by 13 cardinals. Written by Robert, cardinal priest of St Romanus, papal chancellor. Dated 5 May 1145, at Viterbo. Copy of letter from Pope [Adrian IV] to Abbot Silvester [abbot 1151-1161]. No year given.
