DescriptionFrom: Stephen Langton, archbishop of Canterbury

General address. Ordaining that churches in the diocese of Canterbury in his gift and in the gift of the cathedral priory, together with their rectors, should be subject to the archdeacon of Canterbury for the processes of correction and visitation. Some such churches had become exempt from the archdeacon's jurisdiction in the time of Archbishops Baldwin and Hubert Walter, who proposed some exemptions in connection with the chapels of Lambeth and Hackington.
Made with the assent of the cathedral priory.
