(1) Charter of King William Rufus, addressed generally. Specifies the liberties which he has granted to Anselm as archbishop and to the cathedral priory. Witnessed by William, bishop of Durham ('Aunelmens' [sic]), Gundulf, bishop of Rochester, and Eudo the steward ('dapifer'). [Sep 1093. See Davis, as below.]
(2) Charter of King Henry I confirming to Archbishop Ralph d'Escures and the priory monks the lands and liberties which they held under Edward the Confessor and William I. [1114, after 29 Jun. As DCc-ChAnt/C/7 and DCc-ChAnt/C/9. See Johnson and Cronne, as below.]
(3) Charter of Henry II confirming grants by William I and Henry I to the church of Canterbury. Also confirming grant of specified payments. Witnessed by Richard of Ilchester, bishop of Winchester, Geoffrey Ridel, bishop of Ely, and Jocelin de Bohun, bishop of Salisbury. Dated at Marlborough. [Oct/Nov 1175. As DCc-ChAnt/C/19. (4) Charter of Henry II confirming, for the sake of God, St Thomas and the cathedral, the gift by William de Tracy ('traci') of a payment of 100s. Witnessed by Gilbert Foliot, bishop of London, Roger of Gloucester, bishop of Worcester, Richard of Ilchester, bishop elect of Winchester, Robert Foliot, bishop elect of Hereford, John of Oxford, dean of Salisbury, Mgr Walter de insula, William de Mandeville ('Mande''), earl of Essex, William son of Audelinus and Hugh de creissi.
