Description2 loose membranes. On recto, copy of composition between Prior Roger of St Alphege and Archbishop Boniface of Savoy, as in DCc-ChAnt/A/7A. Some illumination. Dated Dec 1259.
On verso, accounts listing assize rents for priory manors for 1261. Includes payments at specified terms, for specified lands, for services and customs, and for livestock and produce. Gives names of some customary payments, for example brewing-penny ('Brewengpan''). Some illumination. Alterations in another hand.
3 membranes sewn together. Mandate from Walter de Helyon to John de Planaz, archbishop's bailiff for Otford, concerning a suit made by the prior concerning amercements due to him under the composition with Boniface. Any amercements collected by the archbishop's bailiffs or reeves should be restored. Refers to an attached schedule. No date. [Later than 1290. See below.]
Attached, 2 membranes with list of offences against the priory committed by the archbishop's bailiffs in 1280-90 (9-18EdwI), with sums due. Endorsed with description by Samuel Norris in 18th cent hand.
