Description | From: James, canon of Bologna
James is auditor of contradictory letters. Luke de Guartino, clerk, proctor for Leeds Priory, has obtained two letters from Pope Nicholas III, recited. One to the prior of Rochester, dated 5 Sep 1278, at Viterbo. The other to the prior of Southwark, dated 7 Sep, at Viterbo. These concern the alienated possessions of the priory. Philip de Pomonte, proctor for the cathedral priory, has objected to them. Given at Viterbo [Italy].
Endorsed with description in early 14th cent hand. |
