Note on verso by J B Sheppard that the document was retrieved from the binding of a court book in 1887. On recto, plica and verso, various notes in 16th cent and later hands, now faded. Including, on verso, identification of book as Consistory Court Instance Acta 1539-1551 and notes concerning cases.
