DescriptionIn the cathedral on 12 Jul 1300, before Martin [de Hampton], commissary of Canterbury, and Anselm of Eastry, rector of Eastry, and William de Swantona, clerks, proctors to the archbishop, Mgr William de Rouceby, proctor for St Augustine's Abbey, read out a claim ('provocatio'), recited. Concerns the abbey's claims for liberties and exemptions and their dispute with Archbishop Winchelsey.
Also present were Philip de Inteberghe, William de Castro, Nicholas de Becles and William 'dictus' Cristemesse, clerks.
