DescriptionIn the cathedral on 26 Jul 1300 Martin [de Hampton], commissary-general of Canterbury, Anselm and William de Swantona, rectors of Eastry and Hope, proclaimed the suspension of 11 clergy, named, and then of 19 clergy, named, of given churches [in the jurisdiction of St Augustine's Abbey]. They are acting as special commissaries for Archbishop [Winchelsey]. William de Ronceby, clerk, a proctor for the abbey, appealed against this.
Philip de Inteberge and William de Castro, clerks, were also present.
