Accepting the terms of a letter, recited, received on 7 May 1300 from the abbots, dated by the abbot of Westminster 30 Apr, at Westminster, with further date, now illegible, by the abbot of Waltham. This letter in turn recites a letter from Pope Boniface VIII appointing the abbots, together with the abbot of Bury St Edmunds, as conservators of the exemptions and privileges which the pope has granted to St Augustine's Abbey. The pope outlines the terms and background of the privilege. Pope's letter dated 27 Feb 1300, at the Lateran. Date 13 May, no year. [Date: date of the pope's letter.]
