DescriptionRelates to the case between St Augustine's Abbey and Archbishop Robert Winchelsey, subsequent to the privilege granted to the abbey by Pope Boniface VIII [on 27 Feb 1300]. Gravamina of archbishop's proctor, addressed to the abbey. Includes complaints about inadequate bell-ringing by Canterbury churches for the archbishop when he visited the city. Also gravamina of Richard de [Clyve], priory monk, proctor for the priory, in which he appeals to Rome. Section omitted from this added on slip of parchment. No date. [Date: Boniface died in 1303.]
