Reciting their letter dated 4 Sep 1349, at Canterbury. Edward III has presented Robert de Heyworthe, priest, as vicar of Charing, the presentation falling to him because of the vacancy of the see. Asking the commissary-general to make enquiries concerning this. The commissary-general reports on information gathered from 8 local clergy, named. The vicarage fell vacant after the death of John de ledis.
