Entry dated 20 Nov 1424 for licence granted to John Coventre, John Carpenter and William Grove, executors of the will of Richard Whittington, citizen and mercer of London, for founding a college at St Michael Paternoster Royal, London. Entries for admissions of incumbents of the church of St Michael Paternoster Royal from 1424 to 1606. Until 1555, incumbents were usually nominated by the wardens of the Company of Mercers and presented by the prior/dean and chapter. In later years they were collated by the Crown. No date.
