The land which fell to him after his mother's death in 'Estlonde' field, in Appledore parish and of [the tenement of] the cathedral priory. Lying with the king's highway to east, the land of Nicholas Warston to west and north, and the land of Bencelina to south. Condition against tenure by religous houses. For an annual payment of ½d as quitrent ('forisgabulum') in Appledore churchyard. Warranty clause to Henry and Matilda his wife against all Christians and Jews.
