| Description | Writer: Colfe, Isaac, vicar of Milton Regis, Kent Addressee: Casaubon, Meric, prebendary of Canterbury Cathedral
Praising Archbishop [Laud] and Casaubon, who is arbitrating in his dispute with his curate, Rowland Floyd [alias Lloyd]. He had taken Floyd upon the recommendation of Mr Copley, rector of Pluckley [Kent], a kinsman of Mr Fen, a gentleman of Kensington [St Mary Abbots pa, Middlesex], where Floyd was a reader under Dr Atkins, who had studied at Christ Church, Oxford. Gives account of income of parish. References to Mr Jones, and to Mr Haydock and Mr Chittenden, former curates. Reference to Casaubon's house in Harbledown [Kent]. He lists his complaints against Lloyd. Lloyd is unpopular with Milton Regis's 900 communicants, some of whom have defected to Sittingbourne [Kent], where they are not welcome. Contemporary endorsement, endorsement by Bunce.
