Description | Writer: Bargrave, Isaac, dean of Canterbury Cathedral, and chapter Addressee: Herbert, William, earl of Pembroke, Lord Steward of the Household
Concerning non-residence of Dr [Accepted] Frewen. Lord Pembroke has suggested that he be allowed all profits of his prebend, but the Dean and Chapter do not agree, as they have made a general decree, and non-residents already enjoy benefits. James I provided letters for Dr [Thomas] Anian, his chaplain and president of Corpus Christi College Oxford, and Charles I for Dr [Thomas] Paske, master of Clare College, Cambridge, but these men never made use of the letters. Contemporary endorsement, 'To Lo of Pemb'. Endorsement by Bunce.
