Concerns presentation to vicarage of [blank], of which the presentation is claimed by Mr Mordant and for which the Dean and Chapter have issued a caveat, since they claim the presentation as given to them by Henry VIII. A clerk has exhibited a presentation by Mordant to Mr Incent, Archbishop [Parker's] registrar. It seems that the benefice has been vacant for more than a year and it is not clear to whom it should the presentation should then fall. Mr [William] Lovelace [counsel (Collinson, p376)] will consider the matter. Written at London |
