DescriptionWriter: Geekie, Joshua, of the Inner Temple, Middlesex
Addressee: Geekie, William, prebendary of Canterbury Cathedral

Joshua and William are brothers. Joshua is acting as the Dean and Chapter's steward. Taylor, a 'chimney doctor', asked to be excused from acting as the constable for Walworth manor [in Newington, Surrey] because of being a servant to the Prince of Wales. Joshua has consulted with Mr Paunseforth, the Prince's attorney-general, about this. The Prince is supporting Taylor. Contemporary endorsement.
