1st Monday of Lent. Concerns dues from the abbot of Tintern Parva [or De Voto] Abbey in Ireland. The earl of Ormond has extracted 20m, and the abbot will pay 20m by the following Easter. The prior has already sent 2 quittances from dues for the abbot. Cornwallis asks him to send one more and to be favourable to the bearer of the letter who is travelling to Rome. Endorsement by Bunce. [Ormond and Cornwallis were agents for the priory in Ireland. Date: Ormond first received money from the abbot in 1432. (Camden New Series 19, p93)]
