For 13 tenements in Newington [Surrey], gives tenants, with occupations, many being pinmakers, and rents paid. Reference to taxes and rates. The lease of lives formerly in the Highlord family is now held by Mr Dale, a surgeon on Blackman Street, Southwark [Surrey]. Reference to Farningham [Kent], for which payments are due, and the demand of Dr Nixon's clerk.
He has discussed tax issues with Sir Peter King. Reference to Sir Edward Northey. He asks that a request for sending prayer books to Scotland ('North Britain') be considered.
Postscript, written same day. He has met with Queen Anne concerning a religious matter, as have representatives of the University of Oxford, whose chancellor is leading the army. Contemporary endorsement. Endorsement by Bunce.
