Addressed to Trouts in his chamber in the New Inn, behind St Clement's Church, London. Complains of his ill-treatment by the mayor and jurats of Faversham [Kent], in particular by Mr Ward and Mr Plankett, as they have withdrawn their support for him for the living of Faversham and now favour Mr Gamblin. He accuses Trouts of being involved in the business. Crew asks him to explain the case to the dean. Endorsed with covering note by Trouts for the dean, numbered 172.
