Writing on behalf of Charles II. At its last session, Parliament granted the Crown £1250 to be levied in 2 years' time for the defence of the realm. As funds are needed now, this money can be used as a security for loans, which the archbishop is asked to encourage within his province of Canterbury. Contemporary endorsement: 'Loans Subsidies Shipmoney'. Endorsement by Bunce.
