DescriptionPetition 28 Dec 1674. Lost his eyesight in an engagement against Dutch aboard the "True Love" fireship reduced to great poverty. Signified by Sir Chas: Cottrel, master of requests. Signed N. Trumbull.
14 Feb 1780. Appeal at the court of Whitehall for dispensation for non-residence being aged and infirm. Now resident; in Portsmouth with family and presently working in dockyard, be permitted to remain there, but also receive the salary of Almsman despite his non-residence and he will undertake to procure someone to fulfill the office as required.
