TitleRUCKINGE
Date1215-1372
DescriptionRuckinge manor sits midway along the escarpmentoverlooking Romney Marsh in the south west corner of Kent. The prior's mares were stabled here. There is one exceptional early account from around 1215 where the year's grain, receipts, and expenses are accounted for every three or four months. From 1269, the accounts follow the usual format with a serjeant recording his receipts and expenses on the recto and the accounts of grain and stock on the dorse.
