| Description | Adisham manor lies about 5 miles south east of Canterbury. From 1289, a serjeant accounted for the estate, recording his receipts and expenses, with accounts for corn and stock. From 1348, the bedel was accounting separately for the rents. The estate had been let to farm by 1379, with a farmer accounting for it. There also survive from the fifteenth century accounts of a woodward, threshers and collectors of the almoner's barley. |
