A record of the activities of the committee elected by the inhabitants of Faversham to investigate the fairness of the new rate assessment of the parish. The committee initially consisted of John Chambers, a churchwarden, Hicks, Robert White, Giles Hilton and William Rigden. The minutes of their meetings note the names of the people complaining about their rate assessment and whether an adjustment in the rate was made. The first meeting was on 22 Mar 1830 and the review of the assessment complete by 18 Jun 1830. At the last meeting it was resolved that a copy of the rate be presented to the overseers. The last gathering contains an index to names and some places.
