The contents of this box are fairly miscellaneous, but not all of the places in the description on the front of the box (above) are represented, while others not on the box description are. It appears that the material in boxes 50 and 51 has been mixed up over the course of time.
Many of the documents in this box are letters relating to Dean and Chapter properties in Kent, Suffolk, Essex and Northampton. BB 50/4-79 concern land and buildings in Great Chart, while BB 50/80-88 relate to the manor of Monks Eleigh in Suffolk. BB 50/100-116 concern Deopham in Norfolk and BB 50/119-124 are about Bramford and Burstall in Suffolk.
There are papers and letters relating to a dispute over brick making in Preston-next-Faversham in BB 50/136-154, while BB 50/191-313 are annual accounts for some of the manors. |
