| Description | These deeds relate to properties sold by the dean and chapter to redeem Land Tax. They were bundled up by Bunce. Documents relating to a particular property were bundled up and numbered, and then bundles were parcelled up by parish. These parcels were identified by a letter. The bundles are listed in volumes 2 and 3 of his Schedule. Vol 2 (pp313-4) lists estates in Canterbury, and vol 3 (p432) lists other estates. Some of the documents listed are now in BB 3.
This material was not originally included with the Boxes in the Basement series. However, it relates closely to other material included in the series. It was added to the series in this section in Dec 2000.
Items 1-22 are leases and bonds relating to lands in Thanington and in St Mildred's, Canterbury. The bundle was originally labelled 35 and R.
