ff73-76 is a gilt-edged copy of a printed petition of Thomas Brett LL.D. to the Lower House of Convocation, in connection with the election of a Prolocutor, with a list of clergy of Canterbury diocese attesting that they are unconscious of any injury done to them in connection with the above election, when the petitioner failed to be elected. 1711. Names of the clergy given as: Thomas Wise, rector of St Alphege, Canterbury; J Lewis, vicar of Minster in Thanet; Ow. Evans, minister of St Paul's, etc
Formerly property of Dr William Cock of Appledore. A cutting from a catalogue relating to the manuscript indicates that it was sold at Sotheby's in 1905.
