DescriptionBy A Rawlinson Wood, born 1863. The notebook contains the details of his immediate family, where he grew up, and in particular follows his performances of the pianoforte and progression to the organ. It details his involvement with various churches in the different places he lived. Starting in Croydon where he grew up, before moving to Derby (aged 22 where he was organist and choirmaster), Uttoxeter (where he lived through the First World War), Denstone and Horsham. Rawlinson Wood supplements his life story with photographs of the houses he lived in, newspaper clippings and programmes of performances.
