TitleTheology, "The Progresse of Saints to full Holinesse"
Datec1630
DescriptionWriter: Taylor, Thomas, D.D., pastor of St Mary Aldermanbury, London

A commentary on I Thessolonians V, 19-24.
This is the manuscript of the above work, with some omissions and additions. There are notes on the provenance on the flyleaf recording it was once in the hands of the Jordan family of Waterstock and was given by them to J Rigaud. Thence it passed to F Madan, W D Macray, Mr T G Rose of London W2 who gave it to his brother A C W Rose, bishop of Dover, who gave it to the Chapter Library 9 May 1961 on his retirement. The volume also contains a bookplate of G V A de Freitas.
At the end is a charter-party (contract between a shipowner and a charterer for the hire of a ship), double copy, unseparated, with spaces for the name of ship, master etc left blank. The name 'Normandie' is printed, so evidently the forms were in use from ports there.
