DescriptionWriter: Pearce, William, surveyor
Addressee: Starr, Thomas, Auditor

Informing him that he and Mr Newman have just completed their initial survey of the part of Mr Cox's estate in the Borough to be sold to the London and Croydon Railway Co. However, Mr Bartholomew has informed them that there is some doubt as to whether the company will pay for the survey, and they have thus suspended it until they hear otherwise. He has noticed that the London and Greenwich Railway Co have dismantled a house in Canterbury Square which was not included in their purchase of two years before, and was told that the lessee has not been compensated for it.
