| Description | Writer: Broughton and Briggs, attorneys, of Falcon Square, London Addressee: Starr, Thomas, Auditor
Having been sent the extracts concerning Upper West Down from the Court Rolls of the manor of Meopham by Mr Greenwood, they have ascertained that Mr Tull's father was in 1785 admitted in right of his wife on the death of Stephen Bull, and that in 1819 Henry Mordish paid a relief for Henry Owen, the present possessor. They wish Mr Starr to search the Court Rolls to ascertain whether there are any surrenders or admittances between these two dates, or from 1819 onwards. It appears that Mr and Mrs Tull conveyed the property to John Owen at some time. Written at Falcon Square, London |
